Date of Birth: March the 26th in the year of our Lord 19 hundred and 67
Home: Sheffield. West Riding of Yorkshire. England
Marital Status: Never married, no children
Height: 5’ 11’’

Physical description: Robinson is broad, his arms and shoulders are well muscled from a lifetime of hard work. Like many ratings he is heavily tattoœd but his choice of British Æther motifs is not objectionable. His face is care worn and he carries many reminders of accidents and mishaps in the form of old scars.  His hair is blond and cropped short. Dick prefers to be clean shaved as mutton-chops don’t suit him and he finds it difficult to cultivate a beard. He is by default a cheery looking fellow with a ready smile.  Some of his superiors often wonder what this demeanour might be hiding.

Psychological profile:  Although his service record indicates Robinson can be quite a drinker and bruiser while on leave, he is a model ætherman while onboard.  He takes his duty seriously and takes pride in his work.  Dick has trained in every possible ship board function over the course of his many years and is valued for his experience and wisdom.

His one fault is his inability to keep his nose out of other people’s troubles.  Dick has a broad conscience and really enjoys helping people; he has a coin for a beggar and a helping hand for the young, weak or infirm.  Dick always seems willing to step into confrontation, with the best of intentions of course, no matter what the consequences.

Dick is not considered a lady’s man and can be quite tongue tied around the fairer sex.  He sometimes finds it difficult serving with female crew members.  All in all Dick is well liked by his mess mates as a big rough Yorkshire man with hard fists and a soft heart.

Character Motivations: Dick ultimately wants to make his 25 year RÆF retirement and then with his full pension and savings, open up a pub in Yorkshire.  Beyond those goals he's happy with 3 squares a day and his ration of rum.  Dick distains personal failure and sometimes steers clear of new responsibilities, but when it becomes his job he’ll take full title and accountability for his actions. With Robinson’s long years of experience it is important to push him to allocate some of his duties to less experienced crew to spread his knowledge to the next generation.

Though he would like to keep his head down he dœs deep down yearn to be noticed, he would be so proud if he could someday be presented with a commendation or medal for something other than service awards and decorations for years of service.

Service Record: Robinson enlisted in the fleet hoping for a life of excitement that he was not getting in the steel mills, In 1984 at the age of 17 years he found himself at his local recruiting office signing up for a life in the heavens.

His first post was on board the HMS Prince Albert a destroyer, where he served as a general crewman. When the Albert went in for refit Robinson had been on board for five years, he had been mentioned in dispatches after an action involving a Romlian Corvette laying mines in shipping lanes, his sharp eye meant the Albert was spared the fate of heavy damage or even destruction from hitting a mine. In 1991 he went on shore-leave a Ætherman 1st class, but after a good night's carousing found himself aboard an Endurian merchant ship head toward Saturn.  After loosing his stripe, he shipped out on the HMS Hood, for a ten year stint where he saw a lot of action during the Klinkon wars.  Dick gained and lost his stripes many times and trained in many positions. Dick once made Petty Officer but an altercation in the mess of the HMS Savoy, which sent the ship's Second Officer to the sick bay, busted Robinson back down to ordinary Ætherman.  It came as a large surprise when to Dick when he received orders to report to the HMS Dauntless.  He is proud to be a member of her crew.
