Himalia, with its cold harsh conditions, was once a mining outpost. It has
recently been converted to a penal facility including a rather large asylum.
The prison includes cells that can accommodate most known species. Britain
sends only its' worst offenders or habitual escapees to Himalia. Many pirates
captured in æther-medinsula (unclaimed territory) are sent here. The Ukp lists
the Himalia detention center as a great ally in the pursuit of interplanetary
justice. The Himalia facilities receive a yearly stipend from the UKP as well
as constant subsidies.. |
