What Happened to All the Cool Sounds?

While the sounds were a nice addition to the site, they became burdensom to the site overhead. The sounds alone were generating more bandwidth usage than everything else put together.

Without the sound, the site is running faster. At some point in the future I will try to find an economical way to add them back on.
